WHAT IS MORPHEUS8?
Morpheus8 (M8) is a minimally-invasive fractional skin treatment which delivers radio-frequency energy at a variety of subdermal depths through gold-coated microneedles located at the tip of the headpiece.
The radio-frequency heat also stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, tightening the fibroseptal network. This results in firmer, more youthful-looking skin.

What is Morpheus8 Resurfacing?
Morpheus8 Resurfacing is a targeted, fractionated resurfacing procedure that can be performed with your Morpheus8 radiofrequency (RF) microneedling procedure or on its own.
How does Morpheus8 Resurfacing work?
Morpheus8 Resurfacing uses the same technology as the other Morpheus8 treatments you have come to love, gold-coated 24 micropins. The Morpheus8 Resurfacing tip measures, 0.5 mm, and penetrates the skin, delivering powerful RF (radiofrequency) energy to the epidermis (outer layer of ) and dermis (middle layer of skin) to treat fine wrinkle, acne scars, uneven skin tone/discoloration, and dryness.
Other Morpheus8 face and Neck treatments can deliver radiofrequency energy from 1- 4mm to address deeper wrinkles, sagging skin and jowling.
M8 Body has a unique large surface tip consisting of 40 thin gold-coated microneedles, that can deliver radiofrequency energy from 1- 8mm to large areas quickly and efficiently.
What conditions does Morpheus8 Resurfacing treat?
Morpheus8 Resurfacing treats fine lines that cannot be treated with neurotoxins like Botox, Dysport or Xeomin nor with filler. It also treats superficial textural irregularities and reveals brighter, more luminous skin much like a chemical peel minus the peeling.
How many Morpheus8 Resurfacing will I need?
We recommend a series of 3-6 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart for optimal results.
When is the best time to receive a Morpheus8 Resurfacing treatment?
The Morpheus8 Resurfacing treatment may be performed on its own or as an add-on treatment to your standard Morpheus8 treatment to target the more superficial layers of the skin!
How much downtime is involved for a Morpheus8 Resurfacing treatment?
There is only social downtime associated with this treatment. You may look like you have a mild sunburn for 24-48 hours. There may also be small dots on certain parts of the treatment area, but those usually resolve within 3-6 days.

The benefit of Morpheus8’s color blind technology is that it can be used on all skin types. The unique properties allow even darker tones to be treated.
Can Morpheus8 Be Used In Combination With Other Treatments?
Yes, Morpheus8 can be used in the same treatment session, or a few days after other treatments. Morpheus8 can also be combined with other lnMode energy treatments or injectables to achieve more extensive results.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A MORPHEUS8 PROCEDURE?
The Morpheus8 handheld device works by “stamping” the skin with the microneedles in order to remodel deep layers of the skin. During the treatment you will feel heat and pressure on the treatment area. Different levels of energy can be used to address different aesthetic concerns. Because there Morpheus8 doesn’t use incisions, there is no scarring left behind. Every patient is different, but on average, 1-3 Morpheus8 sessions may be needed to achieve the desired results.
DOWNTIME AND RECOVERY
Recovery and downtime are greatly dependent on the individual, intensity of treatment, and areas treated.
However, most patients resume their normal activities within 3-5 days following an M8 treatment
Sun exposure should be avoided to protect the newly resurfaced skin.
What to Expect the day of...
A Morpheus 8 treatment takes approximately 1 hour.
You will be asked to arrive 45 minutes early to allow time for numbing of the area. We use a topical numbing cream to numb the area and minimize discomfort. Other pain-control options are available including Pro-Nox and Mesoram.
Pro-Nox is a patient-controlled inhaled analgesia system that delivers a 50% oxygen and 50% nitrous oxide mixture for the relief of pain and anxiety. The effects of Pro-Nox wear off in 10-15 minutes allowing patients to resume normal activity right away including driving.
Mesoram is a multi-needle injection that delivers small amounts of lidocaine to the treatment area. Mesoram is ideal for Morpheus8 treatments as it numbs at varying depths below the skin and as the skin surface.
Following treatment, skin may be slightly red, similar to a mild sunburn. Redness should subside within the first 24 hours following treatment. Expect up to 3 days of social downtime. While improvement is noticeable after 1 treatment, to achieve optimal effect, 3-4 treatments are typically recommended.
