MINT PDO (polydioxanone) Threads are absorbable surgical threads inserted into the skin.

Much like their barbed counterparts, smooth PDO threads are renowned for their ability to stimulate elastic collagen synthesis.

In the months following insertion, the body gently reacts by creating a “selective inflammatory response” which starts to repair and heal the tissue surrounding the absorbable threads. This process is what triggers the production of new collage and elastin in the treatment areas. As smooth PDO threads do not have barbs to pull back skin, they are ideal for stimulating the production process in areas that have deflated or creased over time such as the lips or cheeks.

PDO Smooth Threads: Smooth threads are placed under your skin in a hashtag, grid or circular pattern which brings back the lost blood flow to the area which will repair and tighten the skin. PDO smooth threads can be used to smooth wrinkled, crepey skin by replacing and adding collagen and elastin to damaged areas.

These threads will build a solid foundation of new collagen production providing natural results.

The threads stimulate natural collagen production in the skin just by being inserted! The threads will not need to be removed either; they naturally dissolve and are absorbed by your body over the next few weeks/months.

Repeated a smooth thread treatments are recommended every 4 weeks for a period of 3 months to further stimulate collagen and elastin production. Peak results seen between 3 - 6 months. Results may last 1 -2 years.
